Adele, a young girl who suffers from a mental disorder, has never met her father and has always lived under the protective wing of her mother Margherita. Everything changes when her very existence is overturned by the latter’s sudden and unexpected death and she meets Aldo, her biological father. A journey begins across an inhospitable Apulia in which two perfect strangers, who couldn’t be more different from one another, transform an improbable relationship into something unique that slowly resembles what they never thought they could be: a father and a daughter.

Alessandro Capitani (Orbetello, 1980) made his debut in the world of cinema as an independent author. He graduated from the Experimental Center of Cinematography of Rome and in 2013, with the short film La legge di Jennifer, won the Cinemaster at the Nastri d’Argento. In 2016 he was awarded the David di Donatello for best short film with Bellissima. Director and author of very successful TV programs, Traveling with Adele is his first feature film.
