The NSU Complex
Tuesday, February 6, 2018 @ 7:00 pm
FreeIn 1998, Intelligence agents followed three young neo-Nazis to a garage where they were assembling pipe bombs. The neo-Nazis evaded arrest, went underground, and formed the National Socialist Underground (NSU), a small, violent group that became the most lethal German terror organization since World War II.
After thirteen years of bank robberies, bombings, and racially-motivated murders, two of the original founders were found dead in a burning camper. A few days later, the third neo-Nazi turned herself in and a DVD was released in which the NSU claimed responsibility for nine murders. While the German press and public were shocked, intelligence agents were destroying files. What were they covering up, and who was supporting the NSU?
The NSU Complex is the most comprehensive documentary on the NSU and one of Germany’s biggest political scandals, interviewing neo-Nazis, government informers, investigators and the head of the domestic secret service. No fewer than eleven parliamentary commissions – on local and federal levels – have tried to establish who was supporting the underground terrorists. The investigations are ongoing.
