Talk, concert: Czech Masterworks by Aeolus Quartet

[4th Floor] The multi-award winning Aeolus Quartet returns to perform a program of Czech masterworks, including Antonin Dvorak’s Piano Quintet in A Major, Opus 81, one of the jewels of chamber music repertory. The program will also include a selection of Dvorak’s love songs from The Cypresses cycle, reimagined for string quartet by the composer, as well as a colorful set of international dance pieces by Erwin Schulhoff.
Aeolus Quartet, founded in 2008, is the quartet-in-residence at All Souls Church in NYC, performing at Bohemian National Hall as part of Musica Viva NY under the artistic direction of Alejandro Hernandez-Valdez, who also collaborates as pianist in this program.
