Recovering alcoholic Hugi (Björn Thors) struggles to establish a sober and sane existence in a tiny Icelandic village against the stunning backdrop of majestic snow-capped mountains. Hugi is a primary-school teacher who moved to this secluded town from Reykjavík hoping to heal the wounds from his broken marriage and escape hard city life.

When his estranged, hard-drinking father, Þorfinnur(Helgi Björnsson), arrives he throws Hugi’s façade off balance resulting in a delightful comedy about manhood and the delicate relationship between a father and a son.
