LGBTQ 10-Minute Plays from Around the World

Rainbow Jubilee is a series of three events that Casa Italiana put together with its theater company in residence KIT to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising. The events will feature LGBTQ theater respectively from Italy (February 25^th), the US (March 25^th) and from the rest of the world (April 15^th): three events of live performance to discover how much LGBTQ topics have been portrayed on stage and by what means.

This event will feature a reading of twelve 10-minute plays from around the world, selected by an international jury. The audience and a committee will vote the best three that will receive a staged presentation during the In Scena! Theater Festival in May 2019.

This event is made possible in part with public funds from Creative Engagement, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and administered by LMCC.
