Italy at the Forefront: Innovation versus Constraints

Italian Minister of Cultural Heritage Dario Franceschini will speak about Italy’s leading role in global cultural conservation and on the culture and tourism ministry’s initiatives in international relations. He will also preview the museum of Italian Judaism, to open in Ferrara on December 13. The museum’s President, Dario Disegni, and its Director, Simonetta Della Seta, will then illustrate the vast patrimony of ideas, artifacts, and cultural exchange produced in Italy by the Jews over more than two millennia.

Dario Franceschini in conversation with David Freedberg, Pierre Matisse Professor of the History of Art, & Director of the Italian Academy, Columbia University and with Dario Disegni, President of the National Museum of Italian Judaism and the Shoah (MEIS).
