Havel at 80: Reflections on his Thoughts and Legacies

Wednesday, March 9, 2016 @ 4:00 pm

From the Harriman Institute:

One of the most important political thinkers of Central Europe, Vaclav Havel was the former President of the Czech Republic whose dissections of Communist rule as a playwright helped topple communism in Czechoslovakia in 1989. Joined by his advisors and contemporaries, the event will honor his legacy as well as assess the current political and economic developments in Central-East Europe, as this year would have been his 80th birthday celebration.
