Wednesday, October 30, 2019 @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Curated by the National Museum of the Czech Republic to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution.
The exhibition is on view until January 12, 2020.
A set of illustrations by renowned Czech artistic duo Tomski and Polanski will take you on a stroll through historical development of the Czechoslovakia from the end of the World War II. It will explain in detail the hardships that Czechoslovakia went through right up until its amicable split off in 1993.

Complemented by original radio and TV footage, the exhibition provides an insight into the revolutionary movement and also explains the importance of figures such as Václav Havel, Alexander Dubček or Šimon Pánek. This overall insight into the minds and lives of everyday people who lived in Czechoslovakia, as well as to the minds and lives of political representatives, whether those who seized the power along the Communist Party lines or those who rose to power with the revolution, is one of a kind experience.
