Concert: Spiritual Kvintet, Celebrating the Velvet Revolution

Friday, November 8, 2019 @ 7:30 pm10:00 pm

[4th Floor] Join us for the concert of the legendary Czech folk ensemble Spiritual Kvintet to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution. Dress code: semi-formal. Cash bar provided by Bohemian Spirit.

Critics regard Spiritual Kvintet as the first and best Czechoslovak folk group. In 1989 the government blacklisted Spiritual Kvintet, yet their songs were played on the streets of Prague during the days of the Velvet Revolution. The group was joined onstage in 1990 by Vaclav Havel and George H. W. Bush and played for Bill Clinton in 1994 in Prague.
