Barra Ó Donnabháin Lecture: Breandán Mac Suibhne

Prof. Breandán Mac Suibhne delivers the 11th Annual Barra Ó Donnabháin on “The Green Stubble of the Fall: The Revolutionary Generation and Other Generations in the West of Ireland.” Focusing on the “revolutionary generation” in the west of Ireland, Prof. Mac Suibhne explores the social and cultural origins of the drive for Irish independence in 1916-1921. The lecture will be presented bilingually.
Prof. Suibhne’s lecture is part of the day-long program “America, Irish-Ireland, Education and Politics.
