American Conference for Irish Studies Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference

Glucksman Ireland House at New York University will be the host of the 2016 ACIS Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference. To be convened under the theme of “Ireland’s Global Dimensions,” the conference will feature panel presentations and roundtable discussions on a variety of themes related to the study of Ireland and its global diaspora. In addition to the full range of subjects currently being researched in the field of Irish Studies, the conference will feature projects underway that focus on Irish literature in a transnational context, the creation and evolution of migration-based diasporas, the exchange of ideas across a global Irish presence, and the developments of key cultural and political ideologies among Irish communities at home and abroad.
