Adventures in Italian Opera with Fred Plotkin: A Conversation with Simon Keenlyside

The first Adventure in Italian Opera with Fred Plotkin of this season will feature British baritone Simon Keenlyside, one of the pre-eminent artists in opera today. He will be singing the title role in Don Giovanni at the Met in the fall in a production that will be transmitted on HD around the world. His singing is soulful and intelligent, whether in opera or songs, and he uses his physical skills to incorporate dance and movement in works by Monteverdi and Schubert that give this repertory new meaning.
