Evando Thompson is a GLOJO student whose joint program is in European and Mediterranean Studies. Originally born in Jamaica, Evando grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Thompson graduated in May 2020 from Seton Hall University with a bachelor's degree in journalism. At Seton Hall, he worked as a sideline reporter, radio newscaster and web editor for the school newspaper.
In the near future he would like to work in Germany, the country where he will specify his research in at NYU. His graduate research interests includes the unifying role soccer has played in Germany throughout its history and the social, economical and ethical impact of access to water in the country.
As far as long term goals, Evando would love to work on documentaries on a global scale or become a foreign correspondent.
