Emilia is pursuing a MA in European and Mediterranean Studies at NYU. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a degree in English and a minor in Italian Studies, and has done extensive reporting in Italy. She is an Italian vegan, which she realizes is an oxymoron. She thinks a lot about labor exploitation and promotes the fair-trade movement, and likes to make her friends and family feel bad about where they buy their clothes. Her guilty pleasure is good science writing.
