In this episode, we have two guest speakers. Our first speaker is Dr. Lincoln Mitchell is a political analyst, foreign policy scholar and writer, who recently hosted a virtual panel for Columbia University’s Harriman Institute, on why a Georgian Election should matter to Americans. And Anna Dolidze is a Georgian native, a politician, a professor at the University of Western Ontario and former Member of the Georgian High Council. Dolidze was also a part of the virtual panel for Columbia University’s Harriman Institute. This discussion centers around any new developments, what to watch for and anticipate as Georgia heads into Saturday’s election.

Evando Thompson

Evando Thompson is a GLOJO student whose joint program is in European and Mediterranean Studies. Originally born in Jamaica, Evando grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Thompson graduated in May 2020 from Seton Hall University with a bachelor's degree in journalism. At Seton Hall, he worked as a sideline reporter, radio newscaster and web editor for the school newspaper. In the near future he would like to work in Germany, the country where he will specify his research in at NYU. His graduate research interests includes the unifying role soccer has played in Germany throughout its history and the social, economical and ethical impact of access to water in the country. As far as long term goals, Evando would love to work on documentaries on a global scale or become a foreign correspondent.
